Meet the Team

  • A comprehensive cancer education and resources platform for healthcare professionals to register and access online
  • A repository for cancer related guidance e.g. The latest primary care information, PCN DES, QOF, Suspected Cancer Pathways
  • A personalised learning and resource dashboard for each registered user
  • A comprehensive and accessible catalogue of courses, development opportunities and educational events for Cancer Support Workers/Navigators and Cancer Coordinators. This will specifically include:
  1. Principles of Cancer Care Programme (PCCP)
  2. A virtual learn and share forum for CSWs to share good practice and engage with others in similar roles locally and nationally
  3. A digital notebook to store contacts, collate resources for signposting and record learning and development in an e-portfolio
  • A dedicated area on the site for Primary Care (PC) including relevant, accurate and up to date information, including most up to date DES guidance
  • Standardised templates for presentations/training
  • Events promotion to health care professionals registered on the site via the ‘upcoming events’ and ‘latest news’ feeds
  • Access to recommended resources created by approved partner organisations based on your role

 

The Cancer Academy is currently unable to provide funding for events, resource to deliver events or funding for speakers.

  • Improved workforce confidence, skills and knowledge to support delivery of services and care
  • A standardised approach to cancer education delivery in collaboration with educational partners
  • A high standard of education and user experience
  • A platform to effectively deliver training and support learning
  • Courses to address educational gaps in new and existing roles
  • Offer education in a variety of formats to suit different learning styles and to ensure its accessibility
